ArtVenture Camps are taking place at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art's Ridley-Tree Education Center at McCormick House, a beautiful former mansion about 5 blocks from the Museum.
Every Tuesday we take all our campers for a walk to the Museum where we tour the galleries guided by knowledgeable docents and campers also get to draw in front of original art work.

Jungle Tableau, 2008

One of our favorites projects from last summer!
After learning about Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper" each group created their own interpretation of it as a Tableau Vivant, designing masks, assembling outfits, painting a background a la fresco into wet plaster and then finally posing for the audience at our Friday Art Show!
